Basil & Walnut Pesto
I made a feast of Walnut Pesto yesterday. Now, being a freestyle cook, I didn't exactly measure anything ... But here's the general recipe for you. Play around with it!
What I love about pesto making (without a recipe) is that no two pestos ever come out the same. I like to think of it as 'pesto art'
- 2 cups walnuts (soaked overnight to remove the bitterness)
- 375ml Garlic Infused Olive Oil (If I did this again, I'd use half garlic and half regular, it came out a bit heavy on the garlic for my liking)
- 100g Powdered Parmesan Cheese
- 2 Basil Plants (the supermarket ones)
- pinch of salt
