Basil & Walnut Pesto

I made a feast of Walnut Pesto yesterday. Now, being a freestyle cook, I didn't exactly measure anything ... But here's the general recipe for you. Play around with it! 

What I love about pesto making (without a recipe) is that no two pestos ever come out the same. I like to think of it as 'pesto art'


  • 2 cups walnuts (soaked overnight to remove the bitterness)
  • 375ml Garlic Infused Olive Oil (If I did this again, I'd use half garlic and half regular, it came out a bit heavy on the garlic for my liking)
  • 100g Powdered Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 Basil Plants (the supermarket ones)
  • pinch of salt
